Learn More About Our Church
We’re glad that you have chosen to learn more about the First Baptist Church of Shallotte!
This class is the basic introduction to our church family. You may have already chosen FBCS as your church home, or you may have just arrived. Since we have members and regular attenders from many different church backgrounds, this class was designed to introduce you to First Baptist Church and help you move forward in your journey of faith.
WHAT MAKES FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH A FAMILY?

- Our Salvation (What God has done for us)
- Our Values and Strategy (Why we exist and what we do)
- Our Beliefs (What we believe and Why)
- Our Structure (When and Where we fulfill our purpose)

Session 1: Our Salvation
- What does it mean to be a Christian?
- The Symbols of Salvation: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
Sessions 2, 3 and 4: Our Values, Mission, and Purpose
- Love God (Session 2)
- Love One Another (Session 3)
- Love the World (Session 4)
Session 5: Our Beliefs and Structure
- Our Beliefs
- How is our church structured?
- What are our affiliations?
- What does it mean to be a member?
Class lasts for 6 weeks. Workbooks provided.
