Leadership Team

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Kristi Smith, Interim Worship Coordinator

Kristi began attending First Baptist Church Shallotte in May of 2008 and joined the music ministry team in 2014. In March of 2017 she became the church’s Interim Music Coordinator. She will never forget that day, or that her Daddy was singing when God tugged at her heart and she answered the call. Within a few short years Kristi was traveling and singing at various churches with a gospel group (something that would continue well into her adulthood).

Kristi is married to Chris and they have three beautiful daughters, Sara, Ally and Lainie. She has a B.A. in Music Education from U.N.C- Wilmington and a M.Ed. in Educational Technology from Jones International University. She sees teaching as her mission field and has been employed as a music teacher with Brunswick County Schools since 1995.
