The Goals of the FBCS Men’s Ministry Are:

  • Christian friendship, fellowship, and accountability through building relationships with other Christian men.
  • Active men’s missions and ministries by serving together to help those in need.
  • Reaching other men and boys for Christ through outreach, youth ministries, and Royal Ambassador program.
  • Spiritual growth through bible study and small groups.

Our Ministries Within FBCS Include:

  • The Royal Ambassadors (RAs) – This program teaches young men in 1st – 6th grades about being on mission for Christ.  It includes lessons, mission activities (e.g., work days, fund-raisers, hospital/shut-in visitations) and recreation (pine-wood derby, college football games, camping).
  • Handyman Ministry – Home repairs/improvements for those less fortunate and disaster response (e.g., Gulfport, MS).  Disaster response trailer available.
  • Iron-to-Iron Alliances – These small groups meet monthly to develop Christian friendships and promote Godly lifestyles among the men in the group.
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study – 6:30 AM Bible Study open to all men.

Activities Available for All Men Include:

  • Monthly Meetings (3rd Monday of each month) – fellowship, dinner, testimonies, Bible study, prayer.
  • Periodic Golf Fellowship – Saturdays at various golf courses
  • Baptist Men’s Day – annual Baptist Men led worship service
  • Target/Skeet Shooting – annual fellowship around Thanksgiving/Christmas
  • Oyster Roast – annual winter fellowship
  • Easter Breakfast – men prepare breakfast for church following sunrise service.
  • Regional Baptist Men’s Rally – semi-annual regional meetings of Baptist Men
  • Men’s Fraternity – men’s discipleship course on becoming a man of God
  • Promise-keepers – annual men’s conference
  • Men at the Cross– annual men’s conference
