Why followers of Jesus Christ should be a part of a small group is answered in scripture. We need accountability when we are tempted (Gal. 6:1). We need support when we are struggling (Gal. 6:2). We need encouragement when we are discouraged (1 Thess. 5:11). We need wisdom when we are learning (2 Tim. 2:15), and we need motivation when we are weary (Heb. 10:24).
Should the church be doing anymore than meeting in the sanctuary on Sundays? Pastor Bob shares from Scripture the biblical reasons why the church should have small groups.
Just about everyone enjoys a joyous surprise; an unexpected gift, or a reunion with someone we love. What about a surprise from God? A God-sized surprise? Can you imagine? God surprises us when we are obedient, patient and surrendered.
God coming from Heaven to Bethlehem is more than the cuddly image of a newborn baby boy in a manger. Because He came we know that God is for us and not against us. We are not condemned, we are no longer captives of sin, and we are no longer confused about what happens to us when we die.
Having God living among us is a great privilege. We are now able to know God personally, witness His glory, and enjoy the eternal gifts He brings to us.
The birth of Jesus in Bethlehem was no random act within the course of human history. From Matthew 1:21-22, Pastor Bob shares that God is with us purposely, personally, and permanently.
